TX Retinalsome Double Effect Eye Cream is a dual-formula Korean treatment built around tranexamic acid at 3.5% — a plasmin inhibitor that interrupts the melanin signal upstream, rather than bleaching pigment that has already formed.

The second chamber holds retinaldehyde at 500ppm, encapsulated in a phospholipid liposome. Retinal converts to active vitamin A in one enzymatic step where retinol takes two, so it works at a fraction of the dose — and the liposome meters its release slowly enough for eyelid skin, which is roughly a quarter the thickness of the skin on your cheek. Niacinamide and adenosine complete the formula, blocking pigment transfer and supporting collagen at the wrinkle-functional level.

The texture is light and non-greasy, absorbing without the slip that makes concealer travel. No fragrance, no essential oil, no alcohol, no colourant. Morning and night, pressed gently along the orbital bone — a small amount, and never into the eye itself.

Step 1 — Prepare
Cleanse and tone. Apply before heavier creams or oils — thin textures first, or the actives never reach the skin.

Step 2 — Apply
Dispense both chambers together. A grain of rice per eye is enough. Press — don't rub — along the orbital bone, the ridge you can feel under your brow and beneath your eye. Stay on the bone. The formula migrates on its own, and applying closer than that is how eye creams end up in eyes.

Step 3 — Build Up, Don't Dive In
Nights only for the first two weeks. Retinaldehyde is encapsulated and slow-releasing, but this is the thinnest skin on your face and it deserves a ramp. Once it feels comfortable, add the morning application.

Step 4 — Mornings Need SPF
Any retinoid makes skin more sun-reactive, and UV is what drives under-eye pigment in the first place. Sunscreen isn't optional here — it's the other half of the tranexamic acid working.

Tranexamic Acid 3.5%

Retinal (Retinaldehyde) 500ppm, Liposomal
Vitamin A only works in skin as retinoic acid. Retinol needs two enzymatic conversions to get there — retinal needs one. That's why 500ppm does what a far higher retinol dose would. Encapsulated in a phospholipid liposome so it releases slowly across skin roughly half a millimetre thick.

Niacinamide
Works the second chokepoint. Tranexamic acid stops the signal; niacinamide blocks the transfer of finished pigment into the surface cells where you'd actually see it. It also supports barrier lipids — which is what makes a nightly retinoid tolerable this close to the eye.

Adenosine
Korea's recognised wrinkle-improvement active, present at the functional-cosmetic level. Signals through receptors on dermal fibroblasts to support collagen synthesis — working on the look of wrinkle depth, not surface hydration.
